Why train with a Professional Coach?

Some questions you might want to ask yourself before working with a coach:

1. Are you new to the sport?
2. Are you coming back from injury?
3. Are you considering a longer distance (i.e. Sprint ->Olympic -> Half-Ironman)?
4. Do you want to fine-tune technique and learn advanced skills?
5. Have you reached a plateau and want to get faster, leaner, and stronger?
6. Are you interested in optimizing your training schedule?
7. Are you interested in changing body composition?
8. Do you want to include strength training to get faster and stronger?
9. Do you want to learn how to include Yoga in your training schedule?
10. Do you want to optimize Nutrition and learn about proper recovery?

Recommendation

Coaching Recommendation USA Triathlon Coach Patricia Anglano–  by Bobby McGee, Olympic Coach and Running Expert – September 2009 after another USA Triathlon Continued Education Coaches Seminar:

Often when I present a seminar, there is a coach in the audience who is a perfect foil. An individual who asks questions, makes comparisons between what they do, as compared to what I recommend & causes me to step up my game.  This type of person tells me that we have great triathlon coaches in the USA. We have people who are passionate & actually spending their days out there coaching. Individuals looking to be a part of creating the next US World IM champ, or the 70.3 world champ, or an Olympic medal– & even more importantly, inspiring individuals on a daily basis to transcend their current view of themselves & get out there & do it! This makes me very happy – leaving a legacy of having in some small way inspired someone to serve this great sport of ours. Such a person is Patricia Anglano. I wish her continued success & I hope she remains in the sport until she fulfills her potential as a leader of triathletes & runners.
